GTA V Online Heists

Rockstar finally announces that GTA V Online Heists will be available March 10 for consoles, later for PC

It’s like waiting for a whole new game, and for how long we’ve waited, it better hope it’s like one. Rockstar Games has finally announced that GTA V Online Heists are coming and given it a solid released date: March 10th, but only for consoles. Sorry PC gamers, along with today’s announcement about Heists, Rockstar also announced that the PC version of the game is going to be delayed again, this time till April 14th this time. On the plus side, you’ll have access to Heists as soon as the game launches, and Rockstar has given everyone who preordered the PC version an additional $200,000 in-game cash to use in GTA Online as a token of goodwill.  I know I can’t wait until Heists are available – I definitely found them to be the most interesting parts of the story missions, especially weighing up cost and benefits of the accomplices you ...

GTA V will have first person perspective

Confirmed: GTA V will have first person perspective included in the Xbox One, PS4 versions

It almost seemed like a fantastical rumour at first, but today it was confirmed by Rockstar Games that GTA V will have first person perspective included in the PS4 and Xbox One versions releasing on November 18th. This will be a huge departure for the franchise which last changed player perspective moving from the top-down GTA 2 to the third-person GTA III which has been the staple ever since. Whether or not this is going to be something that sticks around in future games is yet to be seen, but it probably gives players on last-gen consoles another reason to pick it up again to play on Xbox One and PS4. In fact, Rockstar Games animation director, Rob Nelson, says that “We could’ve put it in the [last-gen version] but we were too busy making the game”. Fair enough, I guess. Check out the new gameplay trailer below which shows ...

GTA: San Andreas HD

Recently released GTA: San Andreas HD on Xbox 360 is actually a mobile port

One of the most beloved Rockstar games to date is GTA: San Andreas, and to celebrate its 10th anniversary this year, Rockstar Games decided to release GTA: San Andreas HD on the Xbox 360, remastered for the last-gen console, or so we thought. It’s definitely not shabby looking, but at this point in the console’s life, we were expecting a little bit more in the graphical department, and the reason that’s the case is because GTA: San Andreas HD is actually a port of the game from the Android and iOS version. The discovery was made by Digital Foundry who recently tested the Android version on NVIDIA Shield and found the new Xbox 360 version to be an almost exact copy of that version. In fact, Digital Foundry says that: “Scaled up to 720p and beyond, even with the enhanced assets, it’s clear that the level of detail in the assets doesn’t really ...

GTA V to get Limited Edition soundtrack box sets

Amazon.de lets slip November 14th as GTA V release date on Xbox One and PS4

The big question on the lips of GTA fans is: what is the GTA V release date on PC, Xbox One and PS4. Well, if Amazon.de – Amazon’s German branch – is anything to go by, GTA V is going to release on those platforms on November 14th. The find was made by Xboxygen who were able to make the observation before Amazon.de removed that information, leaving just the listing. This of course comes after a listing a few weeks ago which seemed to suggest the release was happening on November 7th. Either way, given the number of rumours and listings with either November 7th or 14th listed as its release date, it seems extremely likely that we will be playing GTA V when either of these dates roll by. With that in mind, it shouldn’t be too long before Rockstar Games comes out with the official release date in ...

GTA V release on PC, Xbox One and PS4

Will GTA V release on PC, Xbox One and PS4 on November 7th?

If you are anything like me, you have been patiently waiting for the release of GTA V on either PC, Xbox One or PS4. We’ve known they were on their way for some time now, however we haven’t seen any indication of when, or where, they will be releasing. Retailer GameSeek, however thinks that the GTA V release on PC, Xbox One and PS4 will happen in November, specifically the 7th of November, which is shown on their shopfront (below). This seems to be the ballpark date for the release of GTA V, but puts it up against some very stiff competition, with plenty of big name games expected to launch immediately prior to the Holiday period. That competition includes the likes of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Far Cry 4, The Crew and Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Still, we’ve yet to hear anything official from Rockstar Games themselves, ...
